TONES OF BEAUTY Uk EXPO 2025

By Oluchi Obiahu

This year’s Tones of Beauty Expo, Held at ExCeL London from June 30 to July 1, the Tones of Beauty Expo 2025 brought the global beauty industry together for a powerful two-day celebration of multicultural beauty, innovation, and inclusion. With over 4,000 attendees and 200+ exhibitors, every corner of the show was alive with creativity, connection, and culture. From live demos and expert panels to product launches and thought-provoking discussions, every moment at this year’s expo stood out. The panel on “Inclusive Product Development: The Future of Formulating for All” sparked critical conversations, challenging the industry to go beyond shade ranges and address real inclusivity through diverse clinical testing, cultural relevance, ingredient innovation, and accessible product design.

Attendees explored topics like:

  • Testing across all skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–VI) and hair types (3B–4C)
  • Blending traditional knowledge with modern science (Ayurveda, TCM & biotech)
  • Mineral SPF challenges and pigment science
  • Calling for better raw materials to enable deeper formulation diversity
  • Reframing beauty routines to prioritize skin health over excess

The event was not just educational; it was deeply emotional and empowering. For many, it was about belonging, meeting others who “just get it,” and finally seeing the beauty industry reflect everyone.

Backed by industry leaders like NHBF, BABTAC, and the UK Spa Association, Tones of Beauty Expo 2025 was more than a trade show. It was a transformative space that celebrated culture, connection, and the future of inclusive beauty.

This edition celebrates women and girls of African descent whose ideas, courage, creativity, and leadership are reshaping global conversations. Our cover feature is a reminder that Africa is not waiting to be discovered. It is already influencing the future through remarkable women whose work is changing industries, communities, and generations.

Alongside these inspiring stories, we explore the quiet power of friendship, the economics of modern womanhood, fashion’s changing priorities, and the cultural moments defining our time.

At Raising Women Magazine, we remain committed to one belief: when women rise with purpose, they do not simply change their own stories. They expand what the world believes is possible.
